Monarch of the Glen
With the thundering screeches of an eagle
With the ducks and dives of airborne wanderers
With the click, clicking of rustling hoppers
The Pasture is alive
May the rosebuds of yesterday
Be the blooms for today
And the fragrance of tomorrow
Work Work Work
Quick to be dead
and pretend to smile.
Flashes of light,
gonna be here a while.
11pm and I switch off the lamp
Illuminating one thousand worries in my mind.
Waking from their slumper they hiss and spit
Chasing sleep away into the night.
You carefully calculated the scale of deception
pushed abacus pieces from left to right
You hid X's value in Y over Z
And moved chess pieces by cover of night.
Color Me Nude
Is nude NUDE on everyone?
Skin color alone
undermines the uniformity
