EMOTIONAL BLACKMAIL

by Gina Brown

YOU ANNOY ME.

As we sit together watching this movie for the umpteenth time, I envisage pulling your hair out, follicle by follicle- or worse, leaving you
YOU ANNOY ME, BECAUSE YOU ARE A HYPOCRITE, ITS NOTHING NEW
Words become raging bullets piercing one's soul,
AND AS YOU SO DESPERATELY TRY TO HOLD ON TO THE LAST THREAD OF CONTROL
I laugh.

YOU ANNOY ME.

3 years, 5 months, 1 week and 7 hours, no use in reminiscing, memories eventually become fractured
"See me", I beg you
YOU ANNOY ME, because you INSIST that I see things from your point of view --SAYS WHO?
I HAVE A RECURING DREAM IN WHICH I AM ON THE EDGE OF THE TALLEST BUILDING
WITH YOU BECKONING ME TOWARDS YOU,
SOMETIMES I JUMP, MORE OFTEN THAN NOT I STAY, PERPLEXED. RAGE, YIELDING.

YOU ANNOY ME BECAUSE EVERYTIME I LOOK INTO YOUR EYES I AM CONSTANTLY REMINDED OF MY WEAKNESS.
