Blessed Is He

by Michael Bowden

Blessed is he who finds Truth and looks him in the eye
Blessed is he who stops the march, turns and wonders why
Blessed is he who looks above when the answers lie below
Blessed is he who goes, not for love, but for a fear of saying no
Blessed is he who got so high with his head still in the clouds
Blessed is he who won't give up, for it might bring him down
Blessed is he who laughs with life when life tears him apart
Blesses is he who finds the face of man mirrored in his heart
Blessed is he who won't waste words with whispers in the wind
Blessed is he who knows when to cry, yet knows not when to sing
Blessed is he who admits to wrong, but never to unsure
Blessed is he who finds the key still searching for the door
Blessed is he paralysed from a life spent standing tall
Blessed is he who sees the flaws and faults in ‘one for all'
Blessed is he who glorifies as equals grace and glee
His soul will never be at peace, for so blessed is he.
