Colours in a Void
by
Marrickville, Australia
brain dead dozing
thousand mile stare
scattered thoughts composing
I wish I didn't care
the place inside us all
darkest light is blinding
edge of the fall
wrapped yourself up tightly
our realities brought nightly
the colours in a void
you wrap yourself inside
and briefly be destroyed
consciousness denied
and the dreaming be enjoyed
sit on the edge of insanity
a cage of conscious shell
this strange beastly humanity
inside of which we dwell
take that place inside of you
and know its always there
the place of which you always knew
behind a vacant stare
