Craft/ Work?

by Gary Hartley

She's a model
And it's hard not to admit
She's looking good
Shame the mind has rested
On the middle distance eh?
Benefit of the doubt
Might imply this is avoidance;
Too many sleazes before
Considering eye contact invite
To heavy petting
Yes this is believable
But can I query if this is the case
My theory:
One shoot too many
And the mind's transfixion
On the horizon is stuck
Like the toy soldier
Stuck to child's hand...
Super glue massacre
In reception class
Defying evolution she regresses
To pre-thought times
Her club a lipstick
In a cave of mirrors -
She waits to be impressed.
