Drink Bandit

by Michael Dueck

A coin from king to cutpurse sates a burning fierce desire,
In mire of eyes, a siren cries for wanton lust, a liar

She pinches gold just as the thief, so amorous in reason,
And as the thief, a thespian that plays the part of treason

But her deceit lies darkened, void of moral bound reprise,
Thus as the thief sways hanging, drinks are brought before her guise
