Did you say

by Andrea Fleming

Of
course it’s socially acceptable to pass wind and pick your nose
It
depends on whom you hang with we all do it I suppose.
If
there is something to determine aside from left or right
Its
to notice whose around you they’re all a mirror in your life.

Oh
socially acceptable is all so in the grey
Complacency
to most things is the problem that we face
Oh
socially acceptable, kiss my big fat ass
You
pass your wind and pick your nose and say your upper class.

Sociable
behave is evolution at a take
Excuse
us for our shortfalls you see our ancestors were apes.
It
is the little things that matter, the things that go unseen
Which
are socially acceptable if you pardon what I mean.

All
the little snapshots in the twinkling of the stars
Of
gentle human kindness that make memories that will last
Seemingly
outdated, taken from the shelf
Replaced
by hire purchase dreams and books for own self-help.

Oh
socially acceptable what a strange and wondrous term,
Or
is this real behaviour that surely can be learned?
Oh
socially acceptable you caught me out again,
Now
I am standing on the outside, and I approve your looking in.
