Learning to grow
by
chatham kent, UK
When a person is born,
They must find their way,
Growing and changing on this earthly stay,
Different ideas, dreams and motivations,
With all one real connection.
For every one person has a dream,
Be it to be a nurse, pilot or admin assistant,
They strive to be true, real and to do their best,
To reach for the top and never any less,
Ultimately a dream is the hardest thing to obtain,
But for that reason we all have something here to gain,
So through this earthly stay we go,
Working hard in that attempt to grow,
As a person, in mind and in body,
To look back at the end and say I grew,
Not just in one way but in many ways too.

Really like this poem and its theme. The last line is well thought out and ends the poem nicely.
