lost in tendresse

by chip rimmer

            lost in tendresse

            i am lost
in tristesse, as i watch you sleep
            so contented in so deep
            i wonder where you are
            so far from this moment
            in we.

            are you dreammming
            of this time so tendressly
            all fixed and gripped ridiculously
            two mouths locked by lips
            all breathing new life of
            heaviness not?

            when will you
re-awaken and open your smile to me
and reveal your tales of travels, eloquently?
possess me with your magic and spare me from duress
let me sleep forever and dream of dreams of you,
            that is all; i confess.
