I Know You're Here
by
Manchester, UK
Here I am again,
dry retching from the driver's seat
over the clean green grass.
I wait for it to pass,
the vomit and the loss.
I swallow.
Swallow.
The worker ants take the dread
from my head to my gut,
to the small ball-bearing of balance.
And I will fall
just for a moment
whilst your ghost revists me,
blocks the only way to breath
and smothers me.
Nausea.
Here I am again.
dry retching from the driver's seat
over the clean green grass.
I wait for it to pass,
the vomit and the loss.
I swallow.
Swallow.
The worker ants take the dread
from my head to my gut,
to the small ball-bearing of balance.
And I will fall
just for a moment
whilst your ghost revists me,
blocks the only way to breath
and smothers me.
Nausea.
Here I am again.
