ORIGINAL SIN

by Niccolò Matteucci

I don't care what you believe in
I don't hail to any king or queen
I don't believe in the original sin
it grows in the world we live in

Peace does not exist
and even if it seems
it's not going to resist
history teaches this

And poetry is not real
when there's not ideal

we are ruled by fears
so we end with tears

Are you not tired of my kindness?
I know you prefer me respectless,
we run through to our opposites
instead of what are our benefits

There's not any explanation

spending lifetime in front of mirrors

and repressing our emotion
betraying what is inner in our souls

Blind people who don't even try

listening to who is just beside
and if when asked you also lie
this is where you deserve to die
