Poem - MAG Poetry Prize 2010
Winehouse
by
Devon, UK
When I saw Amy Winehouse
staring from the mask of her face
I wanted to go there myself,
leave my clothes at the water's edge
and sink into the substance of myself.
To hell with everyone else,
this earth, this too patient place.
I want to spin time
and pivot space around me
like a dress.
