Unrequited Unrequired

by Lora Elizabeth Johnson

I was angry with my nose,
So cut my face off,
With hine of sight,
Out of my spite,
Not, a clever thing to do,

I was angry with the world,
So shut my self in,
A world of sods,
As laws resides,
Crown my king of her times,
Not, a clever thing to do,

As Unrequited I must Fight It,
Never let these Feeling show,
It’s not right, in dead of night,
Scornful eyes, should tell us so,

I am angry with myself,
And so should I be,
Such a crazy idea,
One . . .  I could never feel,
And Not, a clever thing to do,

Can’t think more – else get lost away,
Unrequited heartache – not my list of luxury,

So Unrequited I Must Fight It,
Never let these feeling Grow,
It’s not right, in Dark Blessed Night,
I shall Never Tell You So.
