The Sugar and the Candy

by Grant Ivison-Lane

A killer of voice,
And pride.
I can give you energy,
I can give you comfort.
It's me that you beg for when everything else turns from you.
It's me you choose
To enjoy the sybolic memorys of others.
A metaphor of injust equals,
I'll meet you at the bottom,
But not as a savoir,
Only a conforting jester.
Knife in hand,
Back in mind.
