Brown eyes

by aditi mody

Brown eyes are the essence to my soul,
Brown eyes are with what I’d wish to grow old.
Brown eyes captivate me,
That loving stare,
Brown eyes tell me that he’d always been there.

Brown eyes represent lust and desire,
Brown eyes remind me of his untamable fire.
Brown eyes lock with mine in moments divine,
Brown eyes are mine; they’re mine for some time.

Brown eyes are wandering, never to stay still.
Brown eyes search the land for their next target kill.
Brown eyes show no love; brown eyes show no feeling,
Brown eyes need no time for any mental healing.

Brown eyes remember not as easy as they forget,
Brown eyes look at me, echoing with regret.
Brown eyes are found and in an instant they are lost,
Brown eyes that are priced at an emaciating cost.

Brown eyes that have their generic thoughts,
Brown eyes that see me for nothing but my flaws.
Brown eyes that gave me sunshine, then nothing but rain,
Brown eyes that I have loved, then hated, time and time
again.
