Misoprostol

by Leanne Moden

Narrower now, and smaller too,
I curl around my core
a sphinx without a secret.
Weeping for that which I could not bear.
Hellebore-ripped and
silent. Anteverted and retroflexed –
in gyroscopic sickness I swim –
shaming St Catherine
with second chances
as rain sizzles against the tarmac
like a radio switched to static.
