goodbye

by Alison Malone

I see my Mother standing she's waiting at the door
She wants her Christmas baby to comfort me once more
I see my darling Marie the woman I adore
she's begging me to stay for just a little more
Now I have given everything I have to those I Hold so dear
and let me tell you those I love inside I have no fear
For I have lived my life as God has asked me to
and everything that I possess I've offered up to you
Now I must leave you Marie God wants me for his own
but I Have left my children so you are not alone
Every morning when you waken and look into there eyes
you'll see me shining brightly no need to say goodbye.
