The End

by neil jones

On that dark dismal day,
When the sun hid away,
And even the gayest,
Refused to play,
A man was found,
In a basement,
Below ground,
The echoes of his heart ache,
The only sound.

Why would somebody you never knew,
Take your true love away from you.
Why would somebody you'd never known,
Murder your soul mate,
Outside your own home.
They took away his angel,
Who fought the Devil to save his life,
Just because it was his husband and not his wife.

Now his once defrosted heart,
Again can only hate,
After taking the most equal revenge,
It's all just too late,
No more peace can there ever be,
This is my final note,
AS THE MAN WAS ME.
