Colours that dont exist

by Lisa Gilbert

Orange, Red, Yellow and Blue,
No, These are not the colours of you.

I think of you in colours that dont exist,
I keep trying but not sure if I can perist.

Black, White, Damson and Green
Maybe these would be the colours I'd Dream
Dark but pure... wild but nature

No, I think of you in colours that dont exist,
I keep trying but not sure if I CAN PERSIST.

Is there a colour I could mix to make you EXIST!
BUT..they make all the colours that do EXIST!

No, I can't PERIST..because I dont want you to EXIST.

The capital letters and repetition communicate the frustration and confusion.
