Running after people
running against myself
running after busses
i know i'll never catch

there are mental demands
i will never understand
why we conform to be
tailored by the society

why am i being required
to please your gossip needs
forcing me to advocate
for the predator's seeds

let me tell you something
that'll offend you for the best
i can't stand your presence
idolating what you possess

im turning my back on you
and taking the other road
im following the brighter Light
Who will carry all my load

Judges' comments on this poem

This would work better if either the rhyme scheme was consistent or it didn't rhyme at all. The odd pattern was a little distracting.
