Broken Biscuits

by Daniel Crate

Red colored onions, dying clowns
making their way through the crowd
broken biscuits, packed into
boxes, looking appealing to you?
frozen candles and long black hair
bouncy castles without any air
un-named junctions, un-named gates
people tripping to their fate

pedestrians using motorways
whilst blind flamingos walk into another day
silenced choirs re-read their scripts
whilst horsemen paint their fingertips
air balloonists lower their boom
competing with a party in a darkened room
barracks, prisons will un-padlock their gates
whilst regimental children march to their fate
